SYNOPSIS: A sweeping love story between a young Italian immigrant named Giovanni and a young Russian immigrant named Natasha taking place in pre-WWI New York City. Their romance is temporarily torn apart by the war when Giovanni joins the U.S. army in the trench fields of Europe. Eventually married upon his return in the post-war prohibition era of the Roaring Twenties, the couple must endure the decadent wealthy lifestyles of high society and organized crime which they have become a part of.
